Last Friday we hosted our second annual ‘Bring Your Parents to Work Day’ at our Seattle Headquarters. Thousands of employees showed their parents around campus and took part in activities including learning how to screen print at the Expressions art activity, a Prime Video screening of The Tick, and a Fireside Chat with AWS CEO Andy Jassy. Parents also explored different areas of Amazon at the Science Fair, learned about our peculiar culture and took in live music by James Apollo, Pickwick, the Amazon Symphony Orchestra, and our a capella group Vocally Self Critical on an outdoor stage.
Employees whose parents could not attend were invited to fill out a postcard and let their family members know they were thinking of them. Thousands of postcards were addressed to parents across all 50 states and nearly 50 countries.
