Alexa+ has made it easier than ever to set up and manage a smart home, so anyone in the home can control their devices by voice. Today, we're building on that experience with Alexa Home Map—a new way to see and manage your whole home in one place.
Alexa Home Map is an interactive 3D map of your home and property, inside and out, that shows your Echo devices, Ring and Blink cameras, Fire TV, lights, locks, thermostats, and other connected devices where they sit in your home. You can control core device functions directly from the map—tapping to turn off the lights, lower the volume of your music, or check on your security cameras. It updates dynamically in real time, showing the colorful glow of your smart lights and animations of cars and people moving around your yard.

Alexa connects to thousands of smart home devices, and millions of people connect at least 20 to Alexa in their homes. But whether you have a whole house full of devices or just a few, Alexa Home Map brings them all together in a single view that’s intuitive and easy to navigate. There's no need to remember what each device is named or say a command out loud while someone's asleep. On shared Echo devices and Fire TVs, anyone in the household can look at the map, see what's on, and act on it instantly.
How do I set up my Alexa Home Map?
Building your map is simple. Add your address, and the exterior of your home appears automatically. Then walk through your house, scanning each room with a compatible iPhone, and watch the interior take shape before your eyes. From there, place your devices on the map right where they sit in your home.

Once your map is built, you can move around it however you like, zooming into individual rooms and switching between floors. You can flip between light and dark mode or filter by device type, so if you only want to see your cameras or lights, you can.
See what's happening outside your home
Alexa Home Map integrates seamlessly with Ring, helping you stay connected to what's happening outside your home. Outside you get a 360-degree aerial view of your property, and with compatible Ring cameras, see live animations of people and cars moving around outside. When a delivery driver walks up to the porch, you see a figure moving toward the front door. When a car pulls into the driveway, you see it arrive. And when someone you've added to Familiar Faces comes to the door, the map tells you, so you know it's your partner getting home from work and not a stranger.
If one of your cameras detects movement, you can see what's going on in a small live preview right on the map. When you want a closer look, tap any camera to pull up a Live View. And if something happened while you were away, an interactive timeline lets you rewind the last 24 hours across every camera at once, so you can catch the package that arrived or the visitor who stopped by without opening each camera one by one.
A dynamic map that changes with your home

Part of what makes Alexa Home Map special is how lifelike it feels. Your smart lights glow on the map in the same color and brightness they're set to, so a blue-lit living room or a dimmed bedroom looks that way on screen. Play music on a smart speaker, and music notes dance above it. The map even reflects the world outside your windows, with the sky shifting from day to night and weather that matches the forecast. These touches make the map feel less like a diagram and more like a living picture of your home, and it’ll continue to get even better over time.
