This week, we officially expanded our
holiday tour beyond our hometown of Seattle.
On Monday trucks traveled to Newark, California to deliver $15,000 worth of gifts and toys to the League of Volunteers, an organization helping to enhance the quality of life for disadvantaged children and families in Fremont, Newark, and Union City. The next day, our truck made a stop in Stockton, California to bring cheer to students at Edison High School. As the week rolled on, our semi-trucks made special deliveries at stops in Salt Lake City, Utah, Aurora, Colorado, San Antonio, and Houston, Texas delivering tablets and toys.

Then, on Thursday, Amazon’s Treasure Truck fleet made deliveries to 11 different cities – each event was filled with Amazon employee volunteers, winter games and holiday music, story time, and popular STEM toys, books, and cozy household essentials to hundreds of excited children and families in need. In San Francisco, at Tenderloin Rec Center, close to 300 children enjoyed the event. In Los Angeles, at Crete Academy, Amazon Marketplace seller Kelly Fedio handed out her signature One Savvy Life water bottles to the staff, while students cheered them on enthusiastically. At Chicago HOPES for Kids, our partners at Whole Foods provided delicious cookies and milk and Mayor Rahm Emanuel stopped by. In Austin, Texas Lifeworks was greeted with a rare snowstorm to set the winter wonderland theme, and in Miami, we brought snow to celebrate with the children and families at Lotus House.
For every mile our Amazon’s Treasure Truck and semi-trucks drive, we will donate $1 to the National Alliance for Ending Homelessness. You too can support these nonprofits or any other nonprofit near and dear to your heart, by shopping via smile.amazon.com or searching for their Amazon Wish List this holiday season. The semi-trucks will continue to crisscross North America, with 13 more stops planned this month.
