On Friday, October 20th, our Austin office hosted Bring Your Grandparents to Work Day. Two dozen employees and their grandparents got to see our new office, check out a series of device demos, participate in an Amazon 101 presentation, and hear from Amazon’s Austin GM Terry Leeper, Texas Secretary of State Rolando Pablos and Texas State Senator Kirk Watson.
In the afternoon, Amazonians and their families toured the local Prime Now Hub to see how their packages get delivered in an hour.
Employees whose grandparents could not attend wrote postcards and let their family members know they were thinking of them.
This year, we hosted Bring Your Grandparents to Work Day in Milan and Madrid; this is the first time we’ve hosted this event in the United States.
